As a seasoned gamer of soap operas with over two decades under my belt, I must say that “The Bold and the Beautiful” has finally kicked it into high gear with Carter Walton’s audacious plot to seize control of Forrester Creations. The cat-and-mouse game between Carter and the Co-CEOs Steffy and Ridge has been a rollercoaster ride, but I’ve seen enough twists and turns in these shows to know that it’s only the beginning.
As a devoted fan, I must say, “The Bold and the Beautiful” has finally accelerated its storyline with Carter Walton’s masterful scheme to seize control of Forrester Creations, bypassing Co-CEOs Steffy and Ridge. Though Hope Logan and Carter claim they are working in tandem, it seems like Carter’s the one shouldering the risk – quite literally, as his name is on the line! Their covert operation revolves around the new LLC that Carter was tasked with creating to reduce overseas tax burdens. It’s a game-changer for sure!
In simpler terms, he explained to Hope that the contract sets up the LLC’s organization, and by signing as the manager, he would gain control over Forrester in its entirety. He was counting on Ridge and Steffy not realizing this since they trust him so implicitly. They typically don’t scrutinize the paperwork; instead, they just sign where he directs them to.
On the episode airing on Wednesday, November 20th, we understood his intentions clearly. The conversation seemed unfruitful as Carter spoke imprudently and cautioned the Co-CEOs about following his advice or…he didn’t explicitly state the consequences, but it was clear enough. Regrettably, Steffy acted inappropriately and repeatedly addressed Hope disrespectfully outside her name. Carter requested honesty, and he certainly received an answer that wasn’t what he anticipated hearing at all.
Ultimately, Ridge instructed everyone to proceed, which marked the start of the long-awaited sequence of events. As Carter guided Ridge and Steffy to where they could affix their signatures, Steffy completed her section of the contract before Ridge lost his spot. This oversight unveiled an unwanted revelation that Carter had been trying to conceal. The Co-CEO stumbled upon a crucial page in the documents, the one specifying the LLC manager, and found that Carter had signed his name on it.
Caught off guard, Ridge inquired from Carter why he had risked his own reputation. As the show concluded there, we’ll learn next Thursday if Carter has been found out, but be warned – if you prefer not to know any spoilers, stop here!
Spoilers ahead for Thursday, Nov. 21’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful
The upcoming week’s sneak peek didn’t depict Carter looking distressed in the sequence where he queries Hope about whether they can truly flip the company and seize control from Forrester. Since that incident hasn’t occurred yet, it’s necessary for Carter to convincingly deceive Ridge to a point where his suspicions towards him appear unfounded.
In the prelude, Hope indicates that he must decide on a course of action, implying Carter might still be unsure about his intention to take FC. However, what they aren’t aware of is that Hope’s mother, Brooke Logan, is secretly eavesdropping near the cabin and overhears their scheme. She’s taken aback by their plans but it remains unclear if she’ll address the issue with Hope or keep quiet about it, potentially letting it slide. Alternatively, she might inform her lover Ridge about the potential theft that could threaten his family’s heritage.
