As a seasoned gamer of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), I can confidently say that the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World has piqued my interest more than any other movie in recent memory. The emphasis on brotherhood between Sam Wilson and Joaquin Torres, as highlighted by director Julius Onah, promises a deep, emotional narrative that will resonate with audiences who have followed these characters’ journeys.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’d put it like this: Gearing up for the new Marvel Cinematic Universe flick, “Captain America: Brave New World,” its director, Julius Onah, reveals that one of the film’s main themes is camaraderie – something I always appreciate in my favorite games and stories!
In a few months from now, Captain America: Brave New World (or Captain America 4) will hit theaters across the U.S. This upcoming movie, directed by Onah, features Anthony Mackie reprising his role as Sam Wilson/Captain America and Danny Ramirez coming back to play Joaquin Torres/Falcon.
What did Julius Onah say about Captain America: Brave New World?
In an interview with Empire Magazine, Onah emphasized that the bond between Mackie’s and Ramirez’s characters is a crucial element in the Marvel Studios movie, setting it apart.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’d put it like this: “They’ve got this awesome sibling rivalry thing going on, and it’s gonna be a major heartstring-tugger in the movie.
Additionally, Onah pointed out that both Sam and Joaquin display remarkable fighting abilities. He went on to say, “Sam has seen it all and then some. He possesses hidden skills, and throughout the movie, he gains new knowledge that turns into additional weapons in his repertoire when confronting even the toughest adversaries.

Apart from Mackie and Ramirez, Captain America 4 will introduce Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, a character also recognized as Red Hulk. Notably, this role was previously portrayed by William Hurt in the MCU; unfortunately, Hurt passed away in March 2022.
In addition, we have Carl Lumbly portraying Isaiah Bradley, Giancarlo Esposito stepping into the roles of both Seth Voelker and Sidewinder, Liv Tyler assuming the character of Betty Ross, and Tim Blake Nelson taking on dual personas as Samuel Sterns and The Leader.
The narrative for the movie reveals that Anthony Mackie once again plays the soaring protagonist, Sam Wilson, now officially holding the title of Captain America. In the storyline, following a meeting with the newly elected President Thaddeus Ross, Sam finds himself entangled in a global predicament. He must unravel the mystery behind an ominous worldwide plot before the villain responsible can ignite chaos across the world.
Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World releases in United States theaters on February 14, 2025.
