The lead actor from Twisted Metal has just shared the reason behind the cowl’s absence in Captain America’s costume for the upcoming film, Captain America 4.

In a chat with IGN, the host inquired Anthony Mackie about the reason behind Marvel Studios choosing to get rid of the “half-helmet with a white top” appearance. Mackie shared that it was due to his own personal request for the change.

Mackie expressed, “I told them I wouldn’t wear that thing again, man. It was tough. With the heat, sweat, foggy glasses, and all, it was unbearable. They called it a cowl, but it was impossible to do anything with it. To me, it was my worst nightmare.

As reported by Deadline, Anthony Mackie discussed his new costume for Captain America: Brave New World, set for release in November 2024. At Disney’s APAC Content Showcase, he described the suit as “an advanced technology outfit.” Additionally, Mackie mentioned that he visited Wakanda and met with its inhabitants. They threw him a welcome party, which was cool. However, when he was about to leave, they presented him with a suit. He put it on and found that he could kick harder, fly faster, and became more agile in his abilities, taking his skills to an entirely new level.

On February 14, 2025, Captain America: Brave New World will be opening in cinemas globally.
