He said that when you’re incorporating characters like Serpent Society, who are known for being snake-themed and having powers related to snakes, it’s all about finding the most suitable version of these characters for a film like this, which involves constant tweaking and experimentation.

Onah commended Rollins, acknowledging improvements made throughout production. “I adore Seth, he’s amazing. However, during our development, there was an extra photography phase, which we had scheduled at the start of the process.

In his continued explanation, Onah mentioned that Giancarlo Esposito’s accessibility significantly impacted their decision. “We were pondering over someone who could perfectly match the required seriousness and suit the tone,” he explained. “Once Giancarlo became free, it was a straightforward choice for us.” The filmmaker shared a personal anecdote, stating, “I have a unique background with him – he’s renowned for collaborating with Spike Lee, whom I interned for when I was 19 years old.
