Candace Cameron Bure Says Robin Thicke Is Her ‘First Crush’

Actress Candace Cameron Bure, who performed as Cherry Blossom on The Masked Singer until her recent elimination, confessed in a new interview that Robin Thicke, one of the show’s judges, was her first crush. During Season 13 of The Masked Singer, Candace Bure competed as Cherry Blossom prior to being eliminated. Robin Thicke serves as a judge on the show alongside actor and comedian Ken Jeong, media personality Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, and recording artist Rita Ora.

In the seventh week of Season 13, Bure departed from The Masked Singer. Later on, she confessed her past acquaintance with Thicke during an interview with Us Weekly. As she put it, “Robin and I have been friends since our childhood days, and he was, in fact, my first crush. We were more or less a couple for about a week when we were both 12 years old!

The actress is most famously recognized for playing D.J. Tanner in the TV show Full House and its spin-off, Fuller House. She also made an appearance as D.J. Tanner on an episode of the ABC sitcom Growing Pains, where Alan Thicke (father of Thicke) played Dr. Jason Seaver, and Kirk Cameron (Brother of Bure) portrayed Michael Seaver.

In the very episode where she got eliminated, Bure first appeared on The Masked Singer. As a hint, she tied her association with Full House co-star, the late Bob Saget, who also featured in the fourth season of The Masked Singer. Regrettably, the panelists failed to uncover her true identity based on this clue. Ultimately, Bure was eliminated after receiving the fewest votes among all competitors.

During the very same interview, Bure disclosed that she intended to leverage her relationship with Thicke as her second hint. “If only I had stayed for an additional week,” she said, explaining her thoughts. At present, both Bure and Thicke are 48 years old.
