Can Bitcoin Rise 150% From Here? Crypto Expert Peter Brandt Predicts The Top

As an experienced crypto analyst, I have closely observed Bitcoin’s price movements and market trends for several years. Based on my analysis of historical data and patterns, I remain optimistic about Bitcoin’s potential to reach new all-time highs in the current bull cycle.

As a crypto analyst, I remain bullish on Bitcoin despite its recent dip below the $70,000 mark. In my view, this decline might be temporary and the price of Bitcoin could still hit new highs in the near future.

Analyst Says Bitcoin’s Top Is $150,000

As a researcher studying cryptocurrencies, I came across a blog post by well-known crypto analyst Peter Brandt on June 2. In this post, Brandt shared his prediction for Bitcoin’s peak during the ongoing bull cycle. Based on his analysis, he anticipates that the price of Bitcoin will experience a significant spike within the range of $130,000 to $150,000.

According to Brandt’s analysis, Bitcoin’s peak is expected to happen around late August or early September in the year 2025. This forecast is derived from prior halving events, which have consistently shown a notable symmetry within previous bull markets.

The Bitcoin halving signifies an occurrence every four years, where the rewards given to miners for verifying transactions are reduced by half. This decrease in new coins entering circulation could lead to a higher market value for each coin due to increased scarcity and heightened demand from investors.

Brandt has suggested a possible correlation

As an analyst, I’ve observed a consistent pattern in Bitcoin’s price movements leading up to and following its halving events. Specifically, Bitcoin tends to experience significant price surges and reach new all-time highs in the years following each halving cycle. The duration from Bitcoin’s market bottom to the halving dates has almost consistently matched the length of time from the halving dates to the next bull market peak.

As a crypto investor, I’ve read Brandt’s blog post where he presented a chart illustrating Bitcoin’s price history from 2010 to 2025. He specifically drew attention to the periods following the halving events in 2012 and 2016. According to his analysis, after each halving event, Bitcoin experienced robust bull runs that propelled its price to unprecedented peaks.

As a crypto investor looking back at the past market trends, I can’t help but recall the most remarkable bull cycle we experienced in 2021. This surge followed the May 2020 Bitcoin halving event, pushing the price to an astounding all-time high of approximately $69,044. Based on this pattern, I’m optimistically inclined to believe that Bitcoin could potentially reach new heights during the next bull market – perhaps even soaring as high as $150,000.

25% Probability That Bitcoin Has Topped For This Cycle

As an analyst, I’ve taken an optimistic stance towards Bitcoin’s future, but I can’t ignore the possibility that we may have reached the peak of this bull market cycle. I assign a 25% likelihood to this scenario.

The value of Bitcoin experienced a significant increase in early 2024, fueled by the introduction and implementation of Spot Bitcoin ETFs. In March of that year, Bitcoin’s price broke through its prior record set in 2021, reaching over $73,000 and establishing a new peak price.

Historically speaking, Bitcoin tends to experience a bull run leading to new record prices following a halving event. But surprisingly, the price peaked above $73,000 prior to its halving on April 20th.

Brandt reveals that if Bitcoin doesn’t set a new record high following its halving, he anticipates a possible drop to around $55,000. Should Bitcoin fall below this level, the analyst believes it could signal the beginning of “Exponential Decay,” potentially indicating a prolonged bearish trend for the cryptocurrency.
