As a die-hard Call of Duty fan with countless hours spent on multiplayer modes and immersing myself in the rich narratives of this iconic franchise, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the recent announcement that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will join Xbox Game Pass! The anticipation has been building for days, and now, finally, we have confirmation – MW3 will be available to download and play on both console and PC starting tomorrow, July 24.
For about a week now, there have been rumors swirling around, and Microsoft has officially announced that “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” is coming soon to Xbox Game Pass. This means that individuals with an Xbox Game Pass for Console, PC Game Pass, or Game Pass Ultimate membership will be able to play the complete game towards the end of this week.
When is the Modern Warfare 3 Xbox Game Pass release date?
Starting July 24, Modern Warfare III: Call of Duty will be added to Xbox Game Pass for both console and PC users. This includes the opportunity to play through the game’s single-player storyline, engage in multiplayer battles, and experience the open-world zombies mode. Additionally, all previously released seasons of updates are available at no extra cost.
Tomorrow marks the release of Season 5 update with fresh content. Expect two new Multiplayer Core maps for 6v6 team battles, three cel-shaded map versions as alternatives, and four free base weapons. Additionally, there are six Aftermarket parts up for grabs. Two new Battle Pass Operators join the roster, and a WWE superstar collaboration adds to the excitement. The comprehensive patch notes are still under wraps, but Game Pass members will enjoy these enhancements alongside non-members.
As a gamer, I was taken aback when Modern Warfare III suddenly appeared on Game Pass in July 2024. I wasn’t expecting it since Microsoft had only announced the day-one releases of Dungeons of Hinterburg, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess up until that point. It feels like an added bonus to an already exciting month for gamers! Currently, there’s no other game on the horizon for Game Pass, as per Microsoft’s plan.
According to rumors, there could be an additional secret release before the end of July. Famous leaker eXtas1s recently revealed that Modern Warfare 3 will be available on Game Pass on a specified date this week, and added that Valorant would debut on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 on July 26 as a surprise day-one addition to Game Pass. We’ll have to wait and see if these claims hold true.
