As a seasoned Call of Duty fan with over two decades of gaming under my belt, the return of round-based Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has me jumping for joy! Ever since I first encountered the undead hordes back in World at War, I’ve been hooked. The thrill of surviving wave after wave of zombies, upgrading weapons, and strategizing with friends is unparalleled in gaming, in my humble opinion.
Activision unveiled a fresh, all-new trailer for “Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies,” providing insights on the exciting updates to the iconic Call of Duty gameplay mode.
What’s new in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies?
It’s exciting news for fans that the fan-favorite round-based Zombies mode has returned! In this mode, 1 to 4 players can band together to fight off zombies, with each round offering opportunities to upgrade weapons and prepare for the next onslaught. The launch of Black Ops 6 will include two maps: Terminus, which is set in the Philippine Sea, and Liberty Falls, situated in West Virginia.

As an avid fan, I’m thrilled to share that the main quests are making a comeback in Zombies! Treyarch is working diligently to ramp up the difficulty level this time around. What’s more exciting is the addition of a brand-new Guided Mode feature in the game. This will give players, including myself, a chance to familiarize ourselves with each map after they go live. It’s going to be an exhilarating journey!
In Black Ops 6, the gameplay for Zombies includes the use of its innovative “omnimovement” feature, enabling players to dash, glide, and scamper in any direction to evade approaching zombies swiftly. The latest trailer also hinted at some beloved features coming back, such as GobbleGums, extensive weapon customization, and a mix of fresh and returning Zombie species.
The highly anticipated video game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, is slated for release on October 25, 2024. You can expect to play it on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and personal computers.
