It’s clear that Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian are on their way to Lallybroch. At the moment, they find themselves in Scotland, and there’s an emotional moment approaching. Family gatherings aren’t always joyous, particularly when they involve matters of life and death.
Jenny wants Claire to do the impossible in Outlander Season 7B
This season, we’re going to watch a scene where Kristin Atherton portrays Jenny in an angry state towards Claire. Intriguingly, Balfe hints that Jenny expects Claire to perform a remarkable feat. However, this task seems to exceed Claire’s capabilities, but Jenny is unwilling to accept that limitation.
In this upcoming season, we’ll witness Jenny experiencing deep emotional pain. As a coping mechanism, she responds by causing harm to others. Given her nature, Claire becomes an easy target for Jenny’s outbursts.
Both her and Claire have a tendency, especially when they’re in pain, to lash out. And this is what we see. Jenny is in a very painful situation and she wants Claire to really do something miraculous, and it’s not within Claire’s capability. There’s a lot of anger there that is maybe misplaced.
A certain level of tension exists between them. In Outlander Season 3, Claire and Jenny didn’t have time to mend their budding friendship due to circumstances. As soon as Claire came back, truths began to emerge, but before they could address it, both Claire and Jamie were off to Jamaica to rescue Young Ian. Their journey led them to America instead.
Subsequently, those events have transpired. Something new unfolds that intensifies Jenny’s reaction towards Claire.
The time in Scotland certainly brings a heartbreaking storyline. It also starts the rollercoaster ride of emotions throughout Outlander Season 7B. Are you ready?
