Thalapathy Vijay’s rumored final film, titled Jana Nayagan, is presently being filmed. There are reports suggesting that the actress, Shruti Haasan, may join the cast and share screen time with the lead actor in this upcoming project.
As suggested by Valai Pechu’s report, the upcoming film directed by H. Vinoth might feature the actress in a character part. At this point, it’s only speculation since the producers have not yet verified or refuted these rumors.
Should the actress indeed be part of the upcoming movie, it would signify her second joint project with Thalapathy Vijay since their 2015 film “Puli.” Directed by Chimbu Devan, “Puli” was an imaginative production that depicted a mythical kingdom under the rule of demons.
The film centers around the struggle between humans and demons, with the idea of justice being pivotal. Vijay was the main character, while Shruti Haasan took on the role of his spouse. Furthermore, notable actors such as Hansika Motwani, Sridevi, Sudeepa, among others, appeared in significant roles within the film.
Puli received mixed-to-negative reviews upon its release and underperformed at the box office.
As for Thalapathy Vijay’s recent appearances on the big screen, he was last featured in “The Greatest Of All Time” (often abbreviated as THE GOAT), helmed by Venkat Prabhu. This film belonged to the genre of spy action dramas, and Vijay portrayed various characters within it, such as a father and son.
Moving forward, the renowned actor is slated to star in what’s said to be his last film, titled “Jana Nayagan.” This movie will be helmed by director H. Vinoth and is rumored to be a blend of action, drama, and politics within its storyline.
This year on Republic Day, the creators revealed both the initial and subsequent previews for the film. The second sneak peek showcases Vijay dressed in a renowned outfit, holding a whip, echoing the late MGR. Besides Vijay, this movie boasts Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju, and numerous other significant characters.
Meanwhile, Shruti Haasan is slated to feature in the film “Coolie”, alongside Rajinikanth and under the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj.
