Initially planned for a theater release during Pongal 2025, the movie starring Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan, titled Vidaamuyarchi, has been rescheduled. It might now be released as early as the end of January.
Based on a recent report by industry expert Sreedhar Pillai, trade analysts speculate that the film may debut on January 30, 2025; nonetheless, the producers have not yet officially announced any release date.
The film “Vidaamuyarchi,” directed by Magizh Thirumeni, appears to be a stylish action-thriller that shares some striking resemblances with the Hollywood movie “Breakdown.” While it’s not yet confirmed if it’s an adaptation, the similarities hinted at in the film’s teaser have sparked speculation about this possibility.
The film appears set to present the tale of a man whose spouse gets abducted while they’re enjoying a holiday in Azerbaijan. Determined to bring back his dear one, this man embarks on a quest, confronting any adversary that crosses his path with the aim of being reunited with his wife once more.
In the main parts are AK and Trisha, while Arjun Sarja, Arav, Regina Cassandra, and others take on significant roles as well. Prior to its release, the film’s first song, titled Sawadeeka, was revealed. This tune was originally created by Anirudh Ravichander, with Anthony Daasan providing the vocals.
It was originally planned to release the movie during Pongal this year, but unexpectedly, the producers announced a delay in its release, without revealing the specific reasons.
In the days ahead, Ajith Kumar will make a grand entrance at cinemas this year with his upcoming film, titled Good Bad Ugly. This action-comedy masterpiece from Adhik Ravichandran is slated for release on April 10, 2025.
