The Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot has added five new cast members.
In the upcoming Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot, Sarah Michelle Gellar is set to return to her memorable character once again, with Ryan Kiera Armstrong joining the cast as well. Nora Zuckerman and Lila Zuckerman are on board to pen, oversee, and produce the show.
Who has joined the cast of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot?
In addition to the original cast members of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot, Faly Rakotohavana has been added as Hugo, Ava Jean as Larkin, Sarah Bock as Gracie, Daniel di Tomasso as Abe, and Jack Cutmore-Scott as Mr. Burke.
Faly Rakotohavana portrayed the character Finn on the Unprisoned TV series and has appeared in films like Nightmare Cinema from 2018 and Secret Society of Second Born Royals in 2020. On the other hand, Jean has been featured in the 2023 movie Holiday Twist and a recent installment of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
In the second season of Apple TV+’s Severance, Bock is recognized for portraying Miss Huang, while di Tomasso has showcased his talent in various productions including Witches of East End, Timeless, Major Crimes, Chicago Fire, French Exit, The Republic of Sarah, and CSI: Vegas.
To conclude, Cutmore-Scott portrayed Rufus Saville in Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014) followed by roles in Dunkirk (2017), Bad Match (2017), Tenet (2020), and Oppenheimer (2023). He is also known for his character, Frederick “Freddy” Crane, in the reboot of Frasier. Additionally, he has made appearances on other series including Magnum P.I., Hawaii Five-0, and Law & Order.
Chloé Zhao is set to take charge as director and co-producer for the pilot episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s reboot, under her Book of Shadows production company. Joining her in executive production are Sarah Michelle Gellar, Gail Berman, Fran Kuzui, Kaz Kuzui, and Dolly Parton. The project will be a collaboration between 20th Television and Searchlight Television.
Currently, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot has been given a pilot order by Hulu. As of now, no specific launch date has been announced.
