Buddy OTT release date: Allu Sirish's fantasy action film to make Netflix debut on THIS day

As an ardent fan who has followed Allu Sirish’s career since his debut days, it’s always a mixed bag of emotions when it comes to his films. The digital premiere of Buddy on Netflix this month is no exception. Though I was eagerly waiting for its theatrical release, I can’t help but feel a sense of relief that it’s finally finding its way to the small screen.

As someone who has been a fan of Allu Sirish since his debut in Telugu cinema, I am thrilled to hear that his latest film, Buddy, is finally making its digital premiere this month. Having grown up watching his movies and admiring his acting skills, I was disappointed when I learned that the film did not perform well at the box office and failed to captivate audiences during its theatrical run. However, I remain hopeful that the film’s digital release on Netflix will give it a second chance to shine. With my busy life schedule and limited access to movie theaters, I often find myself relying on streaming platforms like Netflix to catch up on the latest releases. So, I am excited to see Buddy in the comfort of my own home and experience Allu Sirish’s acting prowess once again.

Netflix India South recently revealed a poster for the upcoming film starring Allu Sirish and announced that it will be available on their streaming platform starting August 30. The movie will be distributed in several languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. They accompanied the post with the caption, “Are you ready for a lion, tiger, bear, or a naughty cub? Find out soon. #Buddy is arriving on Netflix on August 30 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada! #BuddyOnNetflix.”

Check out the post below:

In the movie “Buddy,” Allu Sirish took on the lead character Aditya Ram, whereas Gayatri Bhardwaj depicted Pallavi, an air traffic controller. Later in the film, Pallavi falls into a coma following a severe accident. Subsequently, a doctor and his medical team contemplate illegally selling her organs to an organ trafficking network based in Hong Kong.

Instead, it could be said: Yet, her spirit lives on in a plush toy bear named Buddy. This character plays a crucial role in the movie’s storyline. Later, Aditya Ram meets Buddy and they team up for the purpose of rescuing Pallavi from wrongdoers.

1) Audience members and critics found the plot of the movie difficult to connect with. Interestingly, this particular film is based on the Tamil movie called “Teddy.”

Other than Buddy, Allu Sirish has been part of several movies recently. Some of these include Urvasivo Rakshasivo, Kotha Janta, Gouravam, Srirastu Subhamastu, and Okka Kshanam.

He is the brother of renowned actor Allu Arjun, who on the other hand is all set for the release of his upcoming film Pushpa 2.
