As a longtime BTS fan and someone who has followed their careers since their early days, I am absolutely thrilled to see the magnitude of their success in the first half of 2024. The fact that they have managed to post an impressive 35 songs on the Circle Chart is a testament to their unwavering dedication and global popularity.
In simpler terms, BTS, the popular K-pop group, has moved on to their second phase with various solo endeavors. Starting in 2024, they announced several projects for individual members, such as albums, documentaries, theater concerts, and variety shows. By mid-year, we can examine all the solo initiatives taken by BTS members, some of which are yet to be released.
At the close of 2022, BTS members initiated their solo projects following the band’s declaration of a temporary break for military service. Kim Seok Jin was the first to embark on this new phase by debuting his solo single titled “Astronaut” prior to enlisting in the military.
During Chapter 2, even though every BTS member had previously put out solo projects, the spotlight shifted towards showcasing their individual creativity and enthusiasm. This could be seen in various forms such as albums, documentaries, or variety shows. Each BTS member continues to captivate fans with their distinct charm.

I’ve been closely following the K-pop scene for years now, and I must say, RM’s latest solo album, “Right Place, Wrong Person,” released on May 24, 2024, has truly left me in awe. As the leader of Bangtan Boys (BTS), RM is no stranger to success, but this project took things to a whole new level for him.
In June and July, the atmosphere was filled with celebrations as BTS marked their 11th anniversary and ARMY celebrated their birthdays, specifically on July 9. To commemorate Bangtan’s anniversary, Jungkook, the group’s youngest member, released a new track titled “Never Let Go” on June 7. In honor of ARMY’s birthday, BTS V unveiled his new photobook called “TYPE 1.”
Following some exciting months, it’s time to explore the anticipated BTS solo initiatives set to drop soon. These include Jimin’s Muse album and Jikook’s fresh travel variety program.
According to the Global K-pop Chart for the first half of 2024, published by Circle Chart, BTS made an impressive appearance with a total of 35 songs on the chart. Their global popularity was underscored yet again as they dominated the charts through both group and solo activities. (#BTS_twt)
