As per an AP News report, a Japanese woman is presently being scrutinized due to claims that she kissed Jin, a well-known member of the globally acclaimed South Korean band BTS, without his approval.
The investigation’s progress regarding allegations of sexual harassment was verified by South Korean authorities at the Songpa Police Station in Seoul. According to reports, a woman has been summoned for questioning due to these accusations, following an online complaint. Yet, the police have refused to disclose any additional details about the ongoing probe.
Additionally, it appears that South Korean officials successfully located the woman through help from their Japanese counterparts. Yet, reports state she’s unwilling to collaborate with the authorities and has declined to attend any meetings with them.
The event occurred in June 2024, marking the time when Jin, having completed his mandatory military service, hosted a free-hug gathering with around a thousand fans. This heartfelt occasion transpired at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul, making it momentous as Jin was the first member of BTS to be discharged from military service. In this joyful reunion, he warmly embraced each fan, celebrating his triumphant return following an 18-month absence.
As the gathering progressed without a hitch, a woman, believed to be in her 50s, unexpectedly kissed Jin on the cheek.
