Bridgerton reportedly finds its female lead for Season 4 in Halo vet

As a die-hard Bridgerton fan who has lived through the romantic escapades of the aristocratic family for three seasons, I can say that the addition of Yerin Ha as Sophie Beckett in Season 4 is nothing short of a masterstroke! Having witnessed her portray Kwan Ha with such grace and strength in Halo, I’m confident that she’ll bring the same finesse to the role of Sophie.

Following the announcement that Benedict will be the main character in Bridgerton Season 4, there was great anticipation over who would portray Sophie Beckett. It seems the producers have cast their choice for the female lead of this season – Halo actress Yerin Ha.

According to our sources, it’s been confirmed that Ha will take on the role in the upcoming fourth season. Nevertheless, it’s important to mention that neither Netflix nor Shondaland have commented on the matter. At this stage, it seems highly unlikely that this is just a rumor.

Who is Sophie Beckett in Bridgerton Season 4?

Sophie makes her appearance in the third novel of the Bridgerton series. She is the daughter born out of wedlock to an earl, who, following the death of their father, found themselves without any inherited wealth due to the social norms of that era and was forced to work as a servant instead.

Sophie spent her early years under the care of her maternal grandmother, as her mother passed away during childbirth. Initially unaware of her existence, Sophie’s father had an affair with her maid-mother; he was taken aback when he found a three-year-old girl left on his doorstep. Growing up, the household staff became Sophie’s de facto family.

In a sense, it’s a tale reminiscent of Cinderella. I, Sophie, find myself serving my stepfamily, but on this particular evening at Lady Bridgerton’s Masquerade Ball, I take a break from my duties and slip into anonymity. It’s there that Benedict encounters the mysterious masked woman who has captured his heart.

Where have you seen Yerin Ha before?

In both seasons of Halo, streaming on Paramount+, viewers are likely familiar with Ha portraying the character Kwan Ha, a role he took on in this television adaptation that’s inspired by the game series of the same name.

Apart from her roles in “Reef Break,” “Bad Behaviour,” and “Troppo” – all Australian series, she’s also gearing up for a new project. She’s part of the cast for “Dune: Prophecy,” a show scheduled to debut on Max in November.
