It’s been confirmed that Amazon Studios, in partnership with MGM, will soon unveil a documentary film about Melania Trump, offering viewers an exclusive glimpse into the life of the former First Lady. As of now, the title for this movie remains undecided. The documentary is slated to premiere simultaneously in cinemas and on Amazon Prime Video later in 2023.
A representative from Amazon expressed their enthusiasm to disseminate this extraordinary tale to our vast global customer base, as stated in a recent announcement.
Who’s involved in the Melania Trump documentary?
Brett Ratner, one of the founders at RatPack Entertainment, will take charge as the director for an upcoming documentary. He’s well-recognized for helming comedic films like the Rush Hour series featuring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, The Family Man starring Nicolas Cage, After the Sunset with Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek, and Tower Heist, which stars Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy. This will be his debut as a director for a documentary movie, although he has previously produced documentaries such as Night Will Fall (2014), Chuck Norris vs Communism (2015), and Before the Flood (2016).
The project, yet to be named, is jointly executive produced by Fernando Sulichin of New Element Media and Melania Trump. Filming commenced in early December 2024. This announcement follows her husband, Donald Trump, securing his re-election on November 4, 2024, during the Presidential Elections. Prior to this, the First Lady had released an autobiography titled after herself on October 8, where she shared stories about her upbringing in Slovenia, her modeling journey, encounters with her spouse, and her role as the First Lady throughout Donald Trump’s initial term.
