As a seasoned Brawl Stars player with countless hours under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension as Supercell unveils yet another rework to the game – this time, it’s the Trophy Season system! Having experienced the revamps of the Fame and Power League system earlier in 2024, and the Brawl Pass and Club the previous year, I’m eager to see how this change will shape my gaming experience.
Look at this – Supercell has unveiled another overhaul coming to Brawl Stars shortly. In the past few weeks, the Finnish creators have been consistently updating significant parts of the gameplay.
Towards the start of 2024, there were modifications made to both the Fame and Power League system with the aim of making it more beneficial for players. Last year, the Brawl Pass and Club underwent similar transformations. Now, Supercell is focusing on revamping the Trophy System for Seasons.
It’s been determined that the existing format is overly intricate, less rewarding than anticipated, and displeasing for players who wish to employ their preferred brawlers, especially in higher Trophy matches. Consequently, a revamp is necessary. The adjustments are set to occur at the end of October.
Trophy Season Rework, Explained
Supercell characterizes the revamped Trophy Season system as being “easier to understand and more beneficial.” Essentially, this means the new system will be distinctly separate from its previous iteration.
The first change to take note of is that there will now be 50 Trophy tiers for each brawler. Though this seems like a lot, it’s quite simple to climb through them. You will progress through a Tier for every 20 Trophies earned. To reach the final tier, known as the Max Tier, you will need to have 1,000 Trophies. You will begin losing more Trophies than you win only after reaching 1,100 Trophies for a brawler.
Once you accumulate 1,000 Trophies, they’ll be recognized as ‘Season Trophies’, a type of currency that lets you access the ‘Treasure Chest’ or ‘Trophy Box’.
Hey there! Let’s talk about something cool – the Trophy Box! Instead of those Bling goodies we used to get at the end of each season reset, now we have this new item called the Trophy Box. You can get it in two ways: either when a brawler you own hits 1,000 Trophies or when you accumulate a total of 1,500 Trophies across all your brawlers.
At the same time as the standard Brawl Pass season starts and concludes, the Trophy Season will both commence and conclude (essentially restart), with a consistent rule: any brawler who has more than 1,000 Trophies will have their count reduced back to exactly 1,000 Trophies at the reset. Brawlers below this threshold won’t experience any Trophy resets during this process.
Matchmaking After the Trophy Season Rework
A significant goal highlighted by Supercell during the overhaul was to pair you with opponents who have comparable skills and improve the speed at which matches are made.
The updated player pairing mechanism will consider your Brawler’s Trophy levels and subsequently team you up with others who possess similar Trophy numbers. If your Brawler’s Trophy count exceeds 1,000, you will be paired with players holding the same amount of Trophies.
Regarding specific instances of victory, winning sequences will be associated with the characters who accumulate them. To maintain the streak, it’s necessary to keep playing with that particular character. Also, the Underdog advantage will no longer apply once you surpass 1,000 Trophy points.
Leaderboards Will Be Introduced
As a dedicated player, I’m thrilled to share that alongside the comprehensive Trophy Season overhaul and matchmaking adjustments, Supercell is set to roll out an exciting new feature – two separate brawler leaderboards – into the world of Brawl Stars!
One option is a “Seasonal Ranking” that resets at the beginning of each season. Conversely, the “Career High Score Leaderboard” tracks your maximum Trophy count achieved with a particular Brawler throughout your gaming career.
Every time you reach the Max Level during a season and appear on the Seasonal Leaderboard, you’ll receive a Prestige Symbol for your profile. This aesthetic element will display a number that grows with each subsequent achievement of this feat.
