As a veteran Brawl Stars player with countless hours spent mastering my favorite brawlers, I must say that the introduction of Power-ups during the SpongeBob season has taken the game to a whole new level! The strategic depth they add is simply incredible, making every match more exciting and challenging.
In the upcoming SpongeBob season of Brawl Stars, a fresh set of temporary enhancements called special boosts will be introduced. These can be acquired for your preferred character, providing them with additional perks and skills.
As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve learned that every game has its own set of rules and limitations. In the world of Brawl Stars, I’ve found that each Power-up can only be wielded by brawlers belonging to specific classes. For instance, the Bubble Power-up is exclusive to Controller brawlers, leaving Tanks and Supports out in the cold. This aspect of the game adds an extra layer of strategy, making it more intriguing and challenging for players like me who enjoy delving into the tactical depths of gaming.
When choosing which Brawler to arm with a Power-up, it’s crucial to put some thought and care into your decision if you aim to unlock their full potential. To give you an understanding of the advantages they provide, we’ve compiled a guide that explains the functions of these Power-ups in Brawl Stars.
All SpongeBob Power-Ups In Brawl Stars, Explained
In Brawl Stars, a total of 7 unique power-ups can be found. Each power-up offers you three distinct upgrade stages. As you might expect, the higher the stage, the more beneficial the effects become. Power-ups are only functional in game modes that have been modified with the SpongeBob modifier, represented by the flower cloud symbol.
You’ll gain access to fresh power-ups when you buy and open special, time-limited items called “Power Meals” from the Krusty Krab store using your Krusty Kash.
In the following table, you’ll discover a summary of what each Power-up does and the Brawler Class it is associated with:
Power-up | Class | Description |
Bubble | Controller | Your basic attack leaves a trail of bubbles on the ground that damage enemies who pass over them. At the end of the trail, an explosion is released to spawn in even more bubbles. |
Chum Balls | Damage Dealer | Hitting an enemy gets you a Chum Ball, giving you homing projectiles, increased movement speed, and heals you for a short time. |
Clockwork Clarinet | Marksman | Your attacks are empowered by Squidward’s ‘music’, allowing you to store up to two attacks that can pierce through environments and brawlers |
Doodle Pineapple | Artillery | After a short cooldown, your basic attacks drop a pineapple from the sky that deals damage, leaves a damaging area, and then explodes to scatter damaging pineapple chunks. |
Kelp Soda | Support | A permanent healing area surrounds you. Healing allies also charge your Super. Using your Super will spawn in a Power Cube. |
Krabby Patty | Tank | A Krabby Patty orbits around you as a shield. When destroyed, it grants increased damage resistance, movement speed, and charge for your Super for a short time. |
Spatula | Assassin | A spatula will periodically orbit around you. When enemies are low on health, your attacks will take them down instantly if you have a spatula. You also get a speed boost and become invisible after defeating an enemy. |
During the SpongeBob season, you’ll find some beneficial game bonuses that are exclusive. Make sure to take full advantage of them while they’re active.
