Brave Cast Adds Amber Midthunder, Dallas Goldtooth, & More to Dramedy Movie

As a dedicated fan, I am absolutely thrilled to see Amber Midthunder continue her remarkable journey in Hollywood with her latest role in “Brave.” Her breakout performance in the Predator prequel and her captivating portrayal of Princess Yue in Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action series have undeniably showcased her versatility as an actor.

The escapee character Amber Midthunder, famously known as Prey, has been confirmed to be a part of the cast for the forthcoming comedy-drama film titled Brave. Filming is projected to start around the following summer on the Choctaw Nation Reservation located in Oklahoma.

After her standout appearance in the Predator prequel, Midthunder subsequently starred in the live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, portraying the recurring character Princess Yue. Her upcoming roles include an action thriller titled Novocaine, alongside Jack Quaid, and a horror movie called Opus, featuring Ayo Edebiri.

Who is in the Brave cast?

In addition to Midthunder, other Native American actors such as Dallas Goldtooth (Reservation Dogs, Echo), Wes Studi (The Last of the Mohicans), and Graham Greene (Dances With Wolves) have also been included in the upcoming project. Dallas Goldtooth will portray military veteran Unckle Jack, while Graham Greene has been cast as Pops, Jack’s skeptical father. The roles of Ernie and Charlie, who make up the local residential police force and are described as an unlikely duo, have been assigned to Wes Studi and Midthunder respectively.

The movie is set to be helmed by Steven Paul Judd, who co-wrote the script with Ken Hendersen. Production duties are handled by John Day and Zachary Starnes under Chaotic Neutral Pictures.

The story in Brave revolves around Uncle Jack (Goldtooth), a man who served in the military for fifteen years, has struggled with substance abuse, and now performs at his local Native American casino. As depicted in the synopsis from THR, Jack’s brother passes away, leaving behind an orphaned niece named Jillian, who is battling liver cancer. Jillian’s dying wish is to find a loving home for her dog, Carl, and she believes Uncle Jack might be able to take care of him despite his own struggles with self-care. A liver transplant could save Jillian, but unfortunately, Jack’s history of alcohol abuse makes him an unsuitable donor.
