As a seasoned gamer and movie enthusiast with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the box office results this past weekend were nothing short of exhilarating! The Sonic the Hedgehog 3‘s victory was as swift and electrifying as its titular character.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 took off at the box office this past weekend.
Over the past weekend, Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Disney’s The Lion King (Mufasa) were both launched nationwide. According to Deadline, Sonic dominated the domestic box office by earning around $62 million. On the other hand, The Lion King (Mufasa) fell short of expectations, pulling in only $35 million instead of the anticipated $50 million.
Meanwhile, Wicked and Moana 2 are still accumulating earnings at the box office, while Angel’s Homestead managed to earn $6 million.
During their second week in release, Kraven the Hunter (from the Sony Spider-Man Universe) and The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim (an animated Warner Bros. production) experienced substantial decreases in earnings.
