Captain America’s latest adventure, Brave New World, raked in a staggering $100 million at U.S. movie theaters during its four-day opening weekend.
This past Presidents’ Day weekend, Captain America 4 from Marvel Studios claimed the number one spot at the box office, earning around $100 million. This places it fourth in terms of highest Presidents’ Day openings, trailing behind Black Panther ($242 million), Deadpool ($152 million), and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania ($120 million).
By the set deadline, Paddington from Peru claimed the second position with a revenue of $16 million, while Dog Man slipped to third. Additionally, Heart Eyes, themed for Valentine’s Day, earned another $11 million, raising its domestic total to $22.6 million.
Box Office Results: Domestic Top 10
) In its first week of release, Captain America: Brave New World was screened in approximately 4,105 theaters. The film earned an estimated $40 million on its opening day, followed by $27.5 million on Saturday and $21 million on Sunday. On Monday, it made around $11.5 million, totaling $88.5 million over the first three days. By the end of its fourth day, the film had grossed approximately $100 million.
2) In Peru, Paddington is playing in over 3,800 theaters through Sony (as of first week), with earnings of $5.1 million on Friday, followed by $4.2 million on Saturday and $3.6 million on Sunday. The film made an additional $3 million on Monday, resulting in a total of $13 million for its first three days and $16 million over four days during its initial week.
In the third week of Dog Man (movie) 3, it was screened in 3,334 theaters, with a Friday box office earnings of $2.77 million, down by 15%. On Saturday, it made $3.75 million, and on Sunday, it earned $3.1 million. Monday’s revenue was $2.7 million. The total earnings for the first three days were $9.7 million, representing a 30% decrease compared to the previous week. Over four days, the movie made $12.5 million, bringing its total earnings to $69.5 million in its third week.
4). With a Total of 22.6 Million Dollars in Week 2, Heart Eyes (Sony) Expanded to 3,102 Theaters and Earned $4.9 Million on its First Day, a 33% Increase from the Previous Day. On Saturday it made $3 Million, followed by $2.1 Million on Sunday, $1.1 Million on Monday, and a Total of $10 Million for the First Three Days, a 20% Boost. Over Four Days, the Film Earned an Additional $1.1 Million, Bringing the Grand Total to $11.1 Million.
In 5 cinemas, Ne Zha 2 (CMC) earned $3.1 million on its first day, followed by $2.3 million on the second day, $1.8 million on the third day, $1 million on the fourth day, and $1 million on the fifth day. Over a four-day period, it made a total of $8.3 million, while in its first week, it grossed $7.3 million on the first three days and $8.3 million in total.
6). In the sequel of The Lion King (Dis), titled Mufasa: The Lion King, it was screened in 2,240 theaters, earning $1.5 million on its opening day with a 46% increase. On Saturday and Sunday, it continued to bring in $1.5 million each day, slightly decreasing to $1.1 million on Sunday and maintaining that figure on Monday. Over three days, it made $4.1 million, showing a 3% growth. When considering the fourth day as well, the total earnings were $5.26 million. To date, its cumulative box office collection stands at $241.8 million in its ninth week.
Love Can Wound
Opening in approximately 3,055 theaters on Friday, “Love Hurts” earned $1.97 million, marking a 25% drop compared to its previous day. The following day, Saturday, it brought in $1.3 million, and Sunday saw a further dip to $1 million. On Monday, the earnings were $630,000, resulting in a total of $4.37 million over the weekend, again showing a 25% decrease. The four-day total was $5 million, bringing the film’s total gross to $12.9 million in its second week.

10). Yash’s film, Chhhaava, opened in 497 theaters and earned $500,000 on its first day, $700,000 on Saturday, $590,000 on Sunday, $330,000 on Monday, totaling $1.8 million over the first three days. By the end of the fourth day, it had grossed $2.1 million in its first week.
