Boring? Binance Founder Downplays Bitcoin $100K Milestone With A Bold Remark

Previously high-ranking official from a renowned global cryptocurrency trading platform predicts that Bitcoin might surge beyond the $100,000 mark.

According to the former CEO of Binance, Bitcoin, the original cryptocurrency, may reach even greater heights in value after it briefly surpassed $100,000 on Tuesday.

A “Boring” Level?

2021 started off favorably for Bitcoin, with the digital currency making a comeback to soar past the $100,000 milestone.

As a researcher, I’m expressing my perspective based on insights from Changpeng Zhao, founder of Binance: He believes that the leading cryptocurrency has potential to outperform and reach a new milestone above $100,000.

“100k is boring, right?” Zhao said in a post, responding to Bitcoin recovery.

Bitcoin’s value has surged back to previous highs following its climb above $100,000. After a significant drop beneath this crucial point on December 19, the digital currency struggled to stay above $100,000 for some time before regaining strength and reaching this notable level once more.

Bitcoin Destined To Reach New Heights

As an analyst, I’m sharing my perspective: In line with CZ’s (Zhao’s) assertion, I’ve always believed that Bitcoin has the potential to exceed $100k. Consequently, it didn’t come as a surprise to me when BTC experienced a resurgence and a surge in value over the past 24 hours.

Changpeng Zhao’s recent post about X on Binance ignited enthusiasm within the crypto community, hinting at potential increases in Bitcoin prices according to his statement.

Just last month, Matt Hougan from Bitwise forecasted that the upward trend of cryptocurrencies will continue to strengthen up until 2025. According to Hougan, other prominent digital currencies are likely to see a significant increase in value, with Bitcoin anticipated to take the lead.

According to Hougan’s perspective, Bitcoin (BTC) might soar up to $200,000 by 2025. He attributes this prediction to the potential influx of investments from Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), which could significantly boost demand from corporations, thereby enhancing their involvement with the leading cryptocurrency.

Positive Sentiment Continues

In simpler terms, Zhao anticipates a flourishing year for cryptocurrencies in 2025, referring to it as an exciting period for digital assets, using slang “send it” which typically signifies enthusiasm due to rising crypto values, according to experts.

Many other financial experts concur that the values of digital assets are likely to increase significantly in 2025, with this growth primarily fueled by increased crypto adoption among institutional investors and various governments worldwide.

The current Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao, has expressed confidence in Bitcoin potentially surpassing $100,000, but he’s not offering a specific prediction for this year. On several occasions, however, Zhao has suggested that the value of a single Bitcoin could reach as high as $850,000.
