Borderlands 4 release date is moving up by two weeks

Initially planned for release on September 23, 2025, Borderlands 4 has been brought forward by two weeks due to a unique decision by Gearbox Software and 2K Games. Instead of launching on the 23rd, players can now expect the game on their shelves from September 12, 2025. A future PlayStation State of Play event promises to unveil fresh details about the game.

Randy Pitchford, CEO of Gearbox Software, shared a video on social media to disclose the new release date for Borderlands 4. In his message, he expressed that the development process for the upcoming installment has been “almost ideal.” Tomorrow, the PlayStation Blog will host a State of Play event exclusively dedicated to Borderlands 4.
