Borderlands 4 Nintendo Switch 2 version drops in October

Back in the recent past, Gearbox officially announced that Borderlands 4 would be making its way onto Nintendo Switch 2, along with Xbox, PS5, and PC, later this year. However, it appears that we Nintendo Switch gamers won’t have to wait too long as Borderlands 2 on the Switch 2 is slated for an October release!

As an excited fan, I’m thrilled to share that I recently learned about the upcoming release of Borderlands 4 on the Switch 2, scheduled for October 3, 2025! This means we’ll be able to enjoy this highly anticipated game just a few short months after its initial launch on September 12. In a heartwarming video message, Randy Pitchford, our esteemed CEO, expressed his gratitude towards us, the players, for choosing to purchase the Switch 2 and join him in playing Borderlands 4 on-the-go. What an amazing journey this has been, and I can’t wait to continue it with all of you!

Initially, it was announced that Borderlands 4 would be released on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 during a broadcast in April. However, it’s yet to be determined whether the game will incorporate the mouse function, as is common with shooter games on this platform.
