Booker T Shares His Reaction to Corey Graves’ Outburst After Moving to WWE NXT

Legendary WWE Hall of Famer, Booker T, has addressed the comments made by Corey Graves following his shift to the commentary team for NXT. Graves was joined by Vic Joseph and Booker T during WWE NXT New Year’s Evil as the third commentator on the panel.

Prior to the premiere of Netflix’s WWE RAW, the promotion adjusted its commentary teams. Pat McAfee came back to RAW with Michael Cole, while Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett shifted over to SmackDown. Meanwhile, Graves teamed up with Vic Joseph and Booker T for NXT.

Nevertheless, it appears Corey Graves voiced his dissatisfaction with the shift, openly sharing his disappointment. He hinted that he was informed his fame level wasn’t sufficient to retain his position, an observation seemingly aimed at Pat McAfee and Joe Tessitore, who assumed his responsibilities on the main roster.

Last week, Graves came back to the commentary team of WWE NXT, working alongside Vic Joseph and Booker T. Following a brief absence due to an outburst, he seemed content with his return, highlighting his enthusiasm for the position within NXT. Since the recent outburst, tensions between WWE and Graves seem to have deescalated. Notably, Booker T has mentioned that he isn’t on good terms with Graves following the incident.

“We’re Not Cool” – Booker T reacts to Corey Graves’ WWE NXT outburst

During a conversation on the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T voiced his opinion about Corey Graves’ current circumstances. He emphasized that private issues, particularly work-related matters, are best kept off social media since they can quickly become overexposed to the public eye.

Booker T admitted that he hadn’t discussed Corey Graves’ outburst with him and shared his displeasure about the tweet. He made it clear, “We aren’t on good terms, not at all. I wasn’t a fan of the tweet. I didn’t tell him I wasn’t a fan, but I might express my feelings sometime… he wasn’t addressing me or mentioning me, so that’s beyond my responsibilities, if you catch my drift?” [Credit: WrestlingInc]

Regardless of Booker T’s displeasure over Graves’ outburst, there appeared no signs of tension between the two as they both showed up on the commentary for WWE NXT this week without incident.
