As a long-time WWE fan with decades of watching wrestling under my belt, I must admit that I was skeptical when Logan Paul entered the scene. However, his run with the United States Championship has been nothing short of impressive. Despite the infrequency of his title defenses, he managed to maintain relevance and credibility in a world where that’s no easy feat, especially for someone with zero experience.
Legendary WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has voiced his thoughts regarding Logan Paul’s tenure as the U.S. Champion. Paul secured his initial WWE single’s title, the United States Championship, after overcoming Rey Mysterio during the WWE Crown Jewel event.
During Logan Paul’s tenure as champion, he received considerable backlash from fans due to his uncommon title defenses. His initial defense took place versus Kevin Owens during the Royal Rumble in January. Subsequently, a thrilling triple-threat encounter unfolded between Owens, Paul, and Randy Orton at WrestleMania 40.
Although he had strong defenses, Paul’s tenure as champion concluded during SummerSlam last weekend, with him losing the title to LA Knight. During his 279-day rule, Paul placed himself among the top three longest-reigning United States Champions in WWE history.
While some WWE fans criticized Paul’s reign as champion, backstage officials held a positive view of it. They admired the extensive publicity Paul generated for the championship and his many high-profile appearances during his title tenure. Consequently, even though reactions were mixed, Paul’s time as champion had a substantial impact on WWE.
As I prepared for my title defense against LA Knight, I’d only held the United States Championship a couple of times before. Yet, legendary WWE figure Booker T commended me for my outstanding performance and influence in the ring.

Booker T gives major props to Logan Paul’s WWE US title run
In his podcast, which is in the Hall of Fame, Booker T talked about Logan Paul’s time with the United States Championship. He praised him not just for leaving a powerful impact, but also for keeping his significance and trustworthiness intact.
He asserted, “Indeed, it’s remarkable when someone with no prior experience steps straight into a prominent role, like appearing at WrestleMania alongside The Miz against the Mysterios. Frankly, such an occurrence is unlikely to happen twice, I assure you. I’m referring to a person who managed to maintain his relevance and was considered credible enough for this position. I must admit, Logan Paul deserves a great deal of recognition; in fact, I believe we may not witness another outsider stepping into the arena quite like him.”
Following his title loss, Logan Paul continues his feud with LA Knight. Prior to their bout, Knight swiped Paul’s Maverick PRIME energy truck during SmackDown. At SummerSlam, Knight vandalized the vehicle, leading Paul to send a legal warning his way. It seems that the tension between Paul and Knight is still running high.
