As a dedicated fan who’s missed the thrilling adventures of Temperance Brennan and Daisy Wick on “Bones”, I can hardly contain my excitement hearing that Emily Deschanel and Carla Gallo have hinted at a possible return for a revival! The show, which aired 12 seasons on Fox before wrapping up in 2017, was a staple in my weekly viewing routine. Here’s hoping the dynamic duo of Brennan and Wick will once again grace our screens with their forensic brilliance!
The initial television series was developed and overseen by Hart Hanson. It centers around a skilled female forensic anthropologist who can deduce information from victims’ bones, making her invaluable to law enforcement for investigations where conventional identification techniques fail due to decomposition, burning, or damage.
Previously known for his role as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, David Boreanaz starred as FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth, who teamed up with Brennan in resolving cases. Since its premiere in 2005, this series has consistently earned a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Emily Deschanel on returning for a potential Bones revival
Recently, I found myself reminiscing about the iconic show “Bones” during an interview, where Emily Deschanel and Michaela Conlin (my favorite cast members) hinted at the possibility of a revival. In fact, we’ve had some conversations with other cast members about this exciting prospect. Although it isn’t entirely within our control, if given the chance, you can bet that Emily, Michaela, and TJ Thyne would leap at the opportunity to step back into their beloved roles in a potential reboot.
Deschanel mentioned that there might be plans to revive the series in some form. Since this year marks its 20th anniversary, he suggested it could be exciting to create something for that occasion, although he’s unsure if he has control over such decisions. However, he expressed his readiness and enthusiasm if given the opportunity.

Gallo continues to suggest the idea, stating that they previously reached out to TJ (Thyne) for a potential reboot of the show, and he expressed interest. He emphasizes that this topic has been frequently discussed, expressing his excitement about the possibility: ‘When will this happen? When can we start working on it?’
She added, “The level of attachment we feel is evident. Speaking with Hart Hanson, Barry Josephson, and others, you can sense their strong affection for this series, their significant involvement in its creation, and the fact that they all share a longing for it.
