BlizzCon to return in 2026

The pause on BlizzCon will conclude in the year ahead as it resumes in Anaheim, California, specifically in September 2026. At this time, Blizzard is holding back information about the event, but fans should anticipate fresh news related to World of Warcraft, Overwatch 2, and other titles.

2026’s BlizzCon was officially announced by Blizzard, accompanied by a new video. In the video, a voice is heard saying “something is coming” as a tempest brews above a vast frozen lake. The phrases “assemble legends” flash across the screen, and the video concludes with the BlizzCon logo being carved in ice. While specifics are scarce, eager fans will undoubtedly analyze every detail until more information becomes available.

The BlizCon event is scheduled for September 12-13, 2026, and it will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center, which is located in Southern California.

2023 marked the year of the last BlizzCon, during which Blizzard unveiled their ambitious multi-chapter plan for continuing the story of World of Warcraft. Although BlizzCon 2024 was initially planned, it had to be canceled, with the assurance that it would return someday. Instead of hosting a BlizzCon in 2025, Blizzard is opting to wait and make a spectacular comeback in 2026.

In the meantime before we get updates on BlizzCon 2026, let’s reminisce together by watching our collection of videos and reading articles from previous BlizzCons.
