Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds To Try and Have Justin Baldoni’s Lawsuit Dismissed

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are gearing up for a prolonged court case against Justin Baldoni, yet they hope to resolve matters by having the lawsuit dismissed prematurely.

As stated in a recent letter from Michael Gottlieb, attorney for Lively and Reynolds (as reported by Deadline), their team plans to pursue a motion to dismiss the lawsuit filed by Baldoni, with the aim of having it dismissed altogether.

In a letter sent on Thursday, attorney Michael Gottlieb indicated that the Lively-Reynolds parties plan to file a motion to disregard the Plaintiffs’ allegations.

Responding to the latest development, Bryan Freedman – attorney for Baldoni – countered that this move by the married pair was merely an effort to prolong the disclosure of numerous documents.

The attorney stated to Deadline on Thursday that these efforts to discard the case are simply another tactic by Ms. Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Leslie Sloan to conceal and postpone the disclosure of extensive truthful facts and solid evidence we are committed to sharing openly. This information, which they have already made public and a planned website by Freedman, has been threatened. The attorney anticipates these motions to be rejected, and we are prepared to contest each one vigorously in the interim.

Since the lawyer released videos showing activity on the set of “It Ends With Us,” Lively’s team has been countering Freedman’s claims, asserting that he’s been attempting to influence public opinion negatively.

Lively’s complaint alleges that Baldoni created a hostile work environment

The legal dispute arises from a formal grievance that Blake Lively filed against Baldoni last month. In this complaint, she alleges that the filming of It Ends With Us became so intolerable that an emergency meeting was convened due to her accusations of a toxic work atmosphere. During this meeting, Lively requested that Baldoni cease displaying nude videos or pictures of women to her, stop discussing his pornography addiction with her, halt conversations about sexual experiences in front of her, and also desist from commenting on Lively’s weight.

The claim further states that Wayfarer Studios allegedly agreed with the cast, including Blake Lively, to emphasize her character’s strength and resilience rather than portraying the movie as a tale of domestic violence. However, Lively alleges that Jensen Averne Baldoni, in interviews, deviated from this agreement by focusing on the film’s serious narrative instead.

In the documents submitted by Lively, it’s stated that Baldoni and his public relations manager, Melissa Nathan, allegedly brainstormed strategies for a social media smear campaign intended to tarnish her reputation. The 22-page filing contains text exchanges between Baldoni’s PR representative and Nathan, where they reportedly expressed a desire to “bury” Lively.
