Blake Lively ‘cried with relief’ after judge dismissed Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit, claims source
It’s said that Blake Lively wept when she learned that the judge dismissed Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit against her.
A person acquainted with the situation shared with PEOPLE that on June 9, the actress was seen shedding tears of relief as Judge Lewis J. Liman formally discarded Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit. This lawsuit had alleged defamation and attempted extortion against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. Another individual close to the matter stated, “She undeniably feels relieved. They both do. She feels validated.” Regarding Lively’s legal team, the source said, “Everyone is overjoyed.” (as reported by PEOPLE)
Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb, representatives for Blake Lively, released a statement after the judge’s decision on Baldoni’s lawsuit. They labeled the verdict as a “complete triumph.” In their words, “From the start, we maintained that this ‘400 million dollar’ lawsuit was bogus, and the court clearly saw through it.” The lawyers have announced they will now seek compensation for legal expenses and damages in light of what they termed “harassing litigation.
Similarly, the court chose to discard Baldoni’s lawsuit for defamation worth $250 million against The New York Times. This newspaper had extensively reported on Lively’s lawsuits. Currently, neither Baldoni nor his legal team has issued a comment about this decision.
Reflecting on the judgment on Baldoni’s lawsuit against her, Lively posted a message on her Instagram Stories expressing appreciation for the people who supported her. She wrote, “With love and gratitude for the many who stood by me, many of you I know. Many of you I don’t. But I will never stop appreciating or advocating for you.” (via The Independent)
