Last year was quite hectic for Blake Lively, and she was recently honored by Time Magazine as one of the most influential individuals, recognizing her both as an actress and a philanthropist on their prestigious annual list.

What did Time Magazine say about Blake Lively?

Vibrant was recognized as a “giant” in a prestigious list, sharing this honor with well-known personalities such as Serena Williams, Ed Bastian, Lorne Michaels, Simone Biles, and others. Sherrilyn Ifill, a renowned civil rights lawyer, penned an article on Time’s website discussing Lively’s inclusion and the reasons behind her selection due to her philanthropic efforts and advocacy for social change.

2019 saw me receiving a call from Blake, Ryan Reynolds’ wife, as they wished to contribute to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. With our efforts against voter suppression and police brutality gaining traction nationwide, these calls were becoming more frequent. I’ve always been intrigued by the depth of research celebrities conduct before reaching out to offer their support. The ones who stand out are those who do their homework thoroughly, like Blake did. Her genuine curiosity and dedication to understanding the societal factors that mold our nation immediately caught my attention.

I’d often refer to Lively as a “venturesome soul” and someone with a strong dedication towards advancing our nation.

I admire her dedication towards bridging knowledge gaps and striving to be the most knowledgeable and prepared citizen, which stands out to me. Blake is a sincere individual who demonstrates courage in taking risks. She’s deeply committed to progressing our nation, not just for her children but also for mine.

Apart from her charitable work, Lively has found herself in a prolonged legal dispute with Justin Baldoni. As both a renowned actress and filmmaker, they have exchanged allegations in courts over accusations of misconduct and sexual harassment during the production of 2024’s It Ends With Us. A formal trial is scheduled for March 2026, however, both parties have been trading charges against each other prior to that date.
