Judge outlines Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s trial date
The trial for Blake Lively’s lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, due to her allegations of sexual harassment, has been set for March 9, 2026. This court date was established by Judge Lewis J. Liman on January 27, 2025. In addition to Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and other individuals connected with the film “It Ends With Us” are also involved in this case.
As a fervent fan, I can’t help but notice that this particular issue has been making headlines everywhere. In her lawsuit, Lively claims she was subjected to harassment and that a malicious smear campaign was orchestrated against her after she bravely spoke up about misconduct. Baldoni, who was both the director of the film and my beloved co-star, has refuted these allegations. In a surprising turn of events, he counter-sued Lively, along with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist, accusing them of defamation and extortion.
The trial date for this case has been shifted to February 3 instead of its original schedule on February 12. Additionally, a pretrial conference that was initially set for the same date, has also been rescheduled for February 3. This adjustment occurs amidst ongoing debates between both parties regarding public comments and news coverage about the case.
Lively’s legal team alleges that Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, is manipulating public sentiment by disclosing certain documents pertaining to the case selectively, potentially prejudicing the jury pool. However, Freedman has denied these accusations, stating that his client is merely presenting the truth in self-defense.
On January 27, 2025, I’m standing up for what’s right. If anyone tries to suppress the truth unfairly by using their influence in Hollywood, we won’t back down. We won’t retaliate; instead, we’ll exercise our fundamental human right to defend ourselves against such unjust actions. (Source: The Hollywood Reporter)
