Blake Lively walks red carpet at Chanel event after Justin Baldoni lawsuit dismissal

On June 9, Blake Lively re-emerged into the spotlight following the dismissal of Justin Baldoni’s lawsuit. Later that day, mere hours after a significant court decision, she graced Chanel’s Tribeca Artists Dinner in New York City. With a beaming smile and poised demeanor, Lively chose a chic white floral dress and heels for the occasion.

Previously, a federal judge threw out a $400 million lawsuit filed by Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, against Lively, Reynolds, Sloane, and Vision PR. This lawsuit was made in response to Lively’s original lawsuit from December 2024, where she alleged sexual harassment and a campaign to harm her reputation, led by Baldoni. The initial lawsuit also included charges of defamation, extortion, and interference with business contracts, among other claims.

Baldoni filed a lawsuit against The New York Times, asking for $250 million in compensation due to their reporting on Lively’s initial complaint. However, this lawsuit was dismissed by the court on Monday. Additionally, Marvel Studios, who were initially involved due to Reynolds’ satirical character, Nicepool, have now been officially removed from the case.

Nevertheless, the judge has allowed Baldoni’s legal representatives to modify or revise two particular allegations: breach of an implied promise and tortious interference. Yet, should they decide to act on this, they must submit their amendments by June 23.

Blake Lively’s legal team characterized the latest progress in the Justin Baldoni lawsuit as an absolute triumph. Moreover, they emphasized that their stance since the beginning has been that the “$400 million” lawsuit was baseless, and the court indeed recognized this fallacy.

In her Instagram post, the actress conveyed her gratitude towards those who stood by her. Additionally, she reaffirmed her commitment to advocate for every woman’s freedom to express themselves, focusing on issues like safety, self-respect, honor, and storytelling. (via People)
