Titled “Black Salt: The Last Champions Standing,” this captivating comic book series seamlessly blends espionage and political drama with timeless martial arts techniques. In an exhilarating turn of events, Wise Acre Comics has teamed up with Ratti Entertainment to finalize the six-part series and graphic novel adaptation. The narrative centers around Samuel Tharpe, an Interpol agent versed in covert Shaolin fighting skills, who is on a time-sensitive mission to halt a rogue martial arts master wielding the most lethal biological weapon ever conceived.

According to Owen Ratliff, the creator of Black Salt, teaming up with Wise Acre Comics was a logical decision. “Their exceptional production quality, marketing prowess, and success as an independently owned black publishing company mirrors our aim to make Black Salt a recognizable intellectual property,” he said.
Ratti Entertainment is about to start a fundraising initiative to wrap up issues 5 and 6 of their graphic novel. Backers are invited to click “Sign me up for launch” on the preliminary Kickstarter campaign page for Black Salt.
Ratliff shares that he initiated the development of his Black Salt franchise about a decade back, feeling disheartened by the way black men were portrayed on television and in movies. His aim was to introduce a black hero who was not only powerful but also disciplined, serving as an inspiration for others.
