As a seasoned gamer with countless hours under my belt in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, I must admit, the ongoing dominance of weapons like the Krig C and Jackal PDW has been a bit monotonous. However, I’m pleasantly surprised by Treyarch’s decision to take their time with the weapon balancing in the Season 1 Reloaded update.
In Call of Duty, the growing variety of weapons frequently has some that shine above the rest due to their exceptional performance across popular maps and game styles. Since Black Ops 6 was released, the Krig C assault rifle and Jackal PDW submachine gun have been the go-to choices in the game’s strategic landscape.
Season 1 Reloaded introduces an array of new weapons, expanding the variety players can use when crafting their top-tier loadouts. Instead of applying numerous adjustments such as buffs and nerfs during the mid-season update, Treyarch has chosen to delay these changes, which doesn’t seem to worry fans who are patiently waiting for the perfect balance.
No Black Ops 6 Season 1 Reloaded buffs and nerfs
Rather than making numerous adjustments to achieve equilibrium immediately, Treyarch plans to implement their next weapon balance update at a later time. They revealed some upcoming changes on December 4, 2024.

Many players find it incredibly frustrating not being able to inflict damage with headshots in their pursuit of the prestigious Mastery Camos. Since many weapons need 100 headshots to finish the Military Camo challenges, quite a few enthusiasts have opted for the Hardcore mode due to its lower health system, making it significantly easier to advance through the challenges.
Apart from boosting headshot damage, Treyarch intends to lessen the amount of visual recoil produced by weapons and eliminate idle sway quickly following the aiming of a sniper rifle. This should be welcome news for anyone whose shooting precision is affected by unwanted movements.
A positive step forward
As a gamer, I’m thrilled to see Treyarch taking their time to fine-tune updates, ensuring meaningful improvements in gameplay. It’s refreshing to witness them addressing player concerns and implementing desired changes, rather than focusing on areas that might not require tweaking at the moment.
Instead of immediate tweaks to the weapons, there’ll be some additional weeks where Jackal and Krig might hold sway, but ultimately, a brief pause for comprehensive adjustments will set Black Ops 6 up nicely as it enters its second post-launch season.
