Black Ops 6 beta players are calling it “the best Call of Duty since Black Ops 3”

As a seasoned Call of Duty veteran with over a decade of gaming under my belt, I must say, I’m genuinely impressed by Black Ops 6. It’s been a rollercoaster ride since Black Ops 3, with some games feeling like they missed the mark. But this beta feels like a breath of fresh air, a return to the Black Ops roots that we all know and love.

Over the next two weekends, gamers can get a sneak peek at Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 before its official release on October 25th, which is exciting news! However, the Call of Duty series has faced criticism in the past, with some players feeling that it’s hit a creative plateau, particularly with Modern Warfare 3, which seemed to take a step back from its predecessor. But it appears that Black Ops 6 could be breaking this trend and winning over fans so far!

On the Black Ops 6 subreddit, user Bilingual_Throwaway01 complimented the current beta, stating that it’s been the finest Call of Duty game experience since Black Ops 3.

Initially, they expressed their opinion that “this is the best Call of Duty I’ve played since BO3.” Later on, they complimented the game further by suggesting that if Cold War had received more development time and stayed truer to the Black Ops style, it might have been similar to this game.

In their conversation about Black Ops 6 gameplay mechanics, they commended the game for having “weapons that feel satisfying and impactful, the time-to-kill (TTK) is well-balanced neither too quick nor too slow, plus small details such as the return of classic prestige, permanent lobbies, excellent soundtrack, winner’s circle, etc.” Ultimately, they expressed optimism, saying “Considering it’s still in beta, I think it shows a lot of promise.”

1. It’s wonderful to witness such a positive reaction, given that Treyarch has been devoting four years to this game. This could imply that the complexity of game development might have surpassed the ability to maintain quality with yearly releases for gamers.
