As an old-timer gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that I’ve never witnessed such a meteoric rise as Black Myth: Wukong. It’s like watching a rocket launch – but instead of blasting off into space, it’s shooting up the gaming charts!

Ever since Black Myth: Wukong dropped this week, I’ve been swept up in the excitement! The game’s success is nothing short of astronomical – as we speak, Game Science, the developer, reports that it has surpassed 10 million units sold globally. And if that isn’t impressive enough, they also claim it reached a staggering peak of 3 million concurrent players across all platforms!

Game Science recently disclosed updates about Black Myth: Wukong’s performance towards the end of last week. Essentially, things are going quite well for this game. According to Game Science, they have sold more than 10 million copies since its launch on August 19, 2024. Additionally, it has reached a concurrent player peak of 3 million across all platforms. Although we can’t confirm the exact numbers from PlayStation and Epic Games, it seems plausible that there are a few more million players on PS5 and Epic Games Store based on the game peaking at 2.415 million on Steam.
