As a devoted gamer and die-hard fan of Black Clover, I’ve waited patiently for over four years, and finally, the day has arrived – Season 2 is here! Crunchyroll recently unveiled the release date window and the first tantalizing trailer for this highly anticipated installment. This cherished anime, inspired by Yūki Tabata’s manga series, initially graced our screens back in 2017. After it wrapped up its initial run in 2021, fans like me have been eagerly seeking news on a sequel, but to no avail… until now!

Black Clover sequel trailer announces Season 2 arriving on Crunchyroll in 2026

Recently at Anime Expo 2025, Crunchyroll announced that the second season of Black Clover is now being made. They also shared the first trailer for this new season and provided a timeframe for when it will be released.

Based on information recently disclosed by the well-known streaming platform, it’s anticipated that the long-awaited follow-up to Black Clover will premiere around the year 2026.

On July 6th, during Crunchyroll’s panel at Anime Expo 2025, it was revealed that Black Clover Season 2 is being developed. Moreover, they unveiled a fresh illustration of the main character, Asta, with the caption “A new saga starts.” Shortly after, a Japanese poster version surfaced online, accompanied by a trailer that looked back on the anime’s history from its debut in 2017.

As a devoted fan, I excitedly watched the trailer for Black Clover Season 2 on YouTube, only to find out from its description that it was set to release on Crunchyroll in 2026. But lately, I’ve noticed that they’ve taken down that part about the release date. This leads me to believe that there might be some changes to the premiere schedule of this long-awaited sequel in the near future.

Despite any contrary suggestions, Yūki Tabata’s comments during the mentioned event indicate that the production of the next installment for the Black Clover anime appears to be advancing smoothly.
