Actor Nithiin from Telugu cinema has experienced some fluctuations in his career trajectory. Although he’s had several successful films, there have also been a considerable amount of movies that didn’t perform well at the box office. However, his upcoming projects hint at potential shifts in this pattern.
Following numerous pushbacks and reschedules, Nithiin’s film “Thammudu” is now ready for its grand premiere in cinemas. As per the latest update from Aakashavani, the movie is expected to hit theaters on May 9th, 2025.
At first, it was planned that Thammudu would premiere on Maha Shivaratri, but for unspecified reasons, the release was delayed. Based on certain reports, it appears that the film wasn’t fully prepared for a theater release, as there were still parts left to be edited.
Now that a release date has been set, it’s clear that things are moving forward favorably for Thammudu.
The movie “Thammudu” is an action-drama in the Telugu language, featuring Nithiin, Kishore Raju Vasishta, Sapthami Gowda, Balagam Sanjay, and others in significant roles. This film has been both written and directed by Venu Sriram, who is also known for directing “Vakeel Saab.
Originally, Venu Sriram was intended to work on a film with Pushpa star Allu Arjun, called ‘Icon’. Unfortunately, this project got delayed due to undisclosed circumstances. Shortly after, Venu Sriram teamed up with Nithiin for the movie ‘Thammudu’.
The movie chronicles the journey of a devoted sibling, willing to go great lengths, as he shields his sister from numerous obstacles.
The title “Thammudu” appears to pay tribute to Pawan Kalyan’s 1999 cult film of the same name. In fact, Nithiin and Pawan Kalyan have enjoyed a strong friendship in the past, with Pawan Kalyan even producing Nithiin’s “Chal Mohan Ranga” in previous times.
Regarding additional information about the movie, Dil Raju and Shirish are responsible for its production under the Sree Venkateshwara Creations banner. The original soundtrack and background score were created by Ajaneesh B. Loknath, who is known for his work on Kantara’s music. Thammudu’s cinematography was handled by KV Guhan, and Prawin Pudi took care of the editing.
Prior to Thammudu, Nitin too is anxiously looking forward to the premiere of Robinhood. In this film, he co-stars with Sreeleela. Robinhood is a production penned and helmed by Venky Kudumula.
