As a dedicated cinephile with a soft spot for Kannada cinema, I must say I was thoroughly captivated by Shiva Rajkumar’s portrayal of Bhairathi Ranagal in the neo-noir action thriller. Having followed his career since the early 90s, it’s always a treat to see him push boundaries and deliver such compelling performances.
Shiva Rajkumar, a popular actor from Kannada cinema, recently achieved great success with his action-thriller “Bhairathi Ranagal”, a neo-noir production. This movie captivated audiences for numerous reasons and recorded extraordinary box office earnings in a short period. Following its theatrical debut on November 15, it’s now set to stream online.
On their platform (previously Twitter), Geetha Pictures unveiled the official poster for Bhairathi Ranagal’s upcoming OTT release. Starring Shiva Rajkumar, this film can now be watched on Amazon Prime Video, starting from December 25.

For those unfamiliar, the film “Bhairathi Ranagal” was directed by Narthan and he wrote the story for this action movie as well. In the Kannada version of the film, the music was created by Ravi Basrur.
The movie’s storyline centers around a character named Bhairathi Ranagal, initially an upstanding attorney. However, his life takes an unexpected turn as he transitions from being a respected lawyer to a compassionate crime lord within the state of Karnataka.
In addition to Shiva Rajkumar, the movie’s ensemble also features Rahul Bose, Rukmini Vasanth, Avinash, Devaraj, Chaya Singh, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Madhu Guruswamy, and Babu Hirannaiah.
To start with, the filming began as early as August 2023, and it was carried out across various spots, such as Devanahalli, Mysore, Bellary, and Penugonda.
It’s worth noting that the director, Nathan, is said to have personally briefed actors such as Ram Charan and Vijay Deverakonda about the movie plot.
Indeed, whispers circulated that the original screenplay for the movie was tailored with Yash in mind. Yet, because some necessary adjustments needed to be made to it, which caused a delay.
Based on the extraordinary reception, it garnered widespread acclaim, with particular praise directed towards the actors’ performances, the script, and its compelling storyline.
