Best MODOK Decks In Marvel Snap

As a seasoned gamer with over a decade of Marvel Snapchat Strikers under my belt, I can confidently say that the recent addition of M.O.D.O.K to the discard archetype is nothing short of a game-changer. The Second Dinner devs have once again proven their mastery of the meta by dropping this card right when the discard decks were gaining traction.

Introduced during the “Into the Quantum Realm” series, M.O.D.O.K is a Series 5 card with the ability to empty your hand when played.

It appears that the timing of the update from Second Dinner developers is strategic, given the discard archetype’s increasing popularity as a frequently chosen playstyle in the game.

Playing discard decks can sometimes prove challenging because of their inherent randomness and the strategic thinking required for each turn.

Possessing a card similar to M.O.D.O.K. could expand the options for discarding cards, reducing the need for low-cost or two-cost cards that are often discarded. The outlook is optimistic!

Here are four highly successful M.O.D.O.K. decks we’ve obtained, each boasting a victory rate of over 50% in ranked matches. These decks offer unique variations on the discard theme as well.

Morbin Time

At present, Morbin Time boasts an impressive 59% success rate, or 894 wins out of 1500 matches, this season. It seems likely that it will continue to be a go-to choice in the upcoming months.

The goal here is to eliminate or minimize as many elements as feasible while having Morbius and Sunspot in action.

You’re set to eliminate primarily Apocalypse and secondarily Wolverine from play. This is mainly due to Apocalypse’s ability to increase his power by 4 every time a card is discarded, which becomes quite potent. Additionally, if Morbius is present, he will receive a +2 boost for each card that gets discarded.

With Morbin Time, there are several winning scenarios that give you the advantage to emerge victorious in numerous circumstances.

Hela Ramp

Hela Ramp is sitting at a whopping 57% (1352/1017) win rate currently this season. This is another discard deck (shocker) with three distinct win conditions.

In this scenario, the character M.O.D.O.K is being replaced with Hela in a gameplay move. When Hela enters the game, she collects all the cards you’ve discarded and distributes them at random to various locations. If your hand is particularly strong (let’s say a five-card stack), playing Hela opens up almost limitless possibilities since she could place your discards back onto the table in unpredictable ways.

In the next round, we’ll employ a two-part strategy: Wave will amplify the power of cards for both parties to level 4, while Magneto shifts 4-power cards towards his position. This deck is all about adjusting and maneuvering!

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but get excited about the ultimate duo: Dr. Strange and America Chavez! The master strategist, Dr. Strange, and the powerful teleporter, America Chavez, are ready to take on any challenge that comes their way. In this scenario, Doom unleashes his 5 formidable power drones at various locations, but fear not, because America is there to mop up the residue left behind!

M.O.D.O.K. Disco

Currently, M.O.D.O.K.’s Disco dance floor boasts a 57% victory rate, making it the top-performing deck among those we’ve previously analyzed.

Apocalypse, M.O.D.O.K., and Hela are going to be your biggest focuses here once again.

By avoiding the Apocalypse scenario whenever possible using your proficiency in Blade and Sword combat, followed by a decisive blow with M.O.D.O.K, you can ultimately overpower and embarrass any adversary.

If possible, it would add a great deal of excitement to see Dracula brandishing Hela at the game’s conclusion. This deck is packed with cards that could clinch the victory for you.

MoLuck

With a whopping 57%, or 1350 out of 1000, at first sight, this MoLuck deck might seem like a mix of the previous three decks, but don’t let that fool you into underestimating its greatness.

As a devoted player, I’d say that every action, except for playing Morbius, pushes our game closer to the objective of landing Death. The aim is to dispose of as many cards as possible, while trying my best to avoid encountering either Modok or Death during the process.

Then on turn 5, you drop M.O.D.O.K, clean your hand, and hopefully, you draw Death or Hela next.

If you haven’t sketched anything yet, it’s quite possible you’ve been holding Doomsday all along, and it’s been growing in size. Luck plays a big role here, and there’s plenty of mayhem with M.O.D.O.K., let’s call it M.O.D.O.K.’s brand of chaos!

I’m confident that among these stacks, you discovered some inspiration or maybe even a fresh thought occurred to you! Excitedly, let’s meet again next week as we unveil guides for our latest card, Ghost!
