In past seasons like Heavy Metal, as well as others, numerous players found themselves favoring the ICR-1 assault rifle. They anticipate this trend will persist during Season 7: Synthwave Showdown in 2024.
The ICR-1, initially appearing in Call of Duty: Black Ops III and subsequently introduced in COD: Mobile, is a low-recoil assault rifle that deals less damage than most other assault rifles due to its low impact.
Due to its limited impact, it’s had difficulty fitting into the Call of Duty: Mobile game strategy (or meta), which, when it comes to assault rifles, has primarily been controlled by the M13, Kilo 141, and occasionally the MK2 Peacekeeper.
In the upcoming Season 7 (2024), you’re bound to see the ICR-1 more often, as it now boasts enhanced durability and increased precision.
Mobile Season 3 (2025), it’s essential to select the right attachments for it. To make things easier, we have prepared two loadouts for the ICR-1, one for the battle royale mode and one for standard multiplayer games.
Best ICR-1 Loadout For Battle Royale
The configuration for the ICR-1 (short for “Improved Close Range”) is designed to enhance its shooting distance, thereby allowing it to perform effectively on expansive battle royale maps.
- Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
- Optic: Classic Red Dot Sight
- Stock: YKM Light Stock
- Underbarrel: Strike Foregrip
- Ammunition: 40 Round Extended Mag
As a gamer, I’ve chosen to equip my weapon with the Monolithic Suppressor. This bad boy muffles the noise of my gunfire and bumps up the effective damage range by a cool 25%.
Using an Underbarrel Foregrip on your firearm can significantly decrease its recoil, albeit it may slightly affect your mobility and aim-down-sights (ADS) speed.
To compensate for this, we’ve chosen the YKM Light Stock, completed with a Classic Red Dot Sight and a 40 Round Extended Magazine. The extended magazine provides you with additional ammo per clip, allowing you to engage in combat for a prolonged period.
Best ICR-1 Loadout For Standard Multiplayer
As a gamer, I’ve customized my ICR-1 to boost its agility. With its rapid-fire capabilities, it feels like I’m wielding a sub-machine gun, making it an ideal choice for the game’s standard multiplayer battles.
- Barrel: YKM Integral Suppressor Light
- Laser: QWC Laser – Tactical
- Ammunition: 50 Round Fast Reload
- Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape
- Perk: Long Shot
To equip this load, we’ve chosen to exclude most heavy accessories, so you won’t find any extra under-barrel or muzzle additions. The default stock is what you’ll see instead.
As a gamer, I decided to lighten up my load and boost my weapon’s agility by reducing its weight. To enhance its long-range capabilities, I opted for the Long Shot perk and equipped it with the YKM Integral Suppressor Light barrel.
The Stippled Grip Tape will give the gun even greater mobility at a small cost to recoil.
With the QWC Laser – Tactical, you can significantly cut down on aim-down-sights (ADS) time for your ICR-1, transforming this build into an ideal choice for engaging enemies in close quarters combat.
That concludes our guide on the best loadout for the ICR-1 in COD: Mobile.
