Featuring compelling narratives and talented cast members, these shows surpassed viewer expectations. This article highlights some must-watch Chinese dramas such as “The Double” on Youku and “Angels Fall Sometimes” on Tencent Video, which significantly contributed to the excitement of the first half of 2024.
Angels Fall Sometimes
In March 2024, the heartwarming Chinese drama “Modern Love Story” starring prominent actors Lin Yi and Landy Li was released. The story follows Lin Tuo (Lin Yi) and An Zhi Que (Landy Li), who begin dating in their college years. Their goal is to navigate adulthood together and create a lovely future. The Double
2024 saw the premiere of the highly praised Chinese drama The Double in June. Tragically, Xue Fang Fei’s entire family also finds themselves in grave danger.

In order to seek vengeance and protect her deceased benefactor, Jiang Li assumes her benefactor’s identity and returns to the capital in disguise. She confronts those who had wronged her and Jiang Li, meting out justice. Subsequently, she establishes herself as a renowned scholar and becomes an advocate for the oppressed.
