As a fervent admirer of Darshan Thoogudeepa and his captivating acting prowess, this recent development in the Renukaswamy murder case has left me utterly disheartened and bewildered. The news of him and Pavithra Gowda being denied bail is a far cry from the thrilling narratives they weave on the silver screen. I’ve always admired Darshan’s charisma, his ability to breathe life into every character he portrays, but this situation feels like a scene from one of those suspenseful movies I so love – only this time, it seems the script has taken an unexpected, heart-wrenching turn.
In the Renukaswamy murder case, Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his suspected partner Pavithra Gowda were not given bail. Out of the six accused in the case, including both Darshan and Pavithra, two were provided relief by the court.
Based on an article from India Today, a court in Bengaluru refused bail for the actors, along with defendants Nagaraj and Lakshman. On the other hand, defendants Ravishankar and Deepak were released on bail in the same case.
In a previous bail hearing, Darshan’s lawyer contended that the police may have manipulated the eyewitnesses in the case. Yet, it appears that the court made a decision contrary to Darshan and Pavithra, prompting them to consider appealing to the High Court.
It’s important to clarify that Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and actress Pavithra Gowda are currently detained due to murder charges, following accusations that they were involved in the death of Renukaswamy. The victim, a 33-year-old fan of Darshan, was reportedly killed by the actor and his alleged girlfriend, as they were upset about receiving explicit messages from her.
Regarding this situation, Darshan, Pavithra, and several others were taken into custody by the authorities, with Darshan being the second suspect in the case. It’s been rumored that Pavithra may have instigated Darshan to commit the murder of the young man.
On June 9, 2024, the body of Renukaswamy, aged 33, was discovered by police in Bengaluru. The autopsy report disclosed that he was lacking an ear, had ruptured testicles, and bore numerous bruises across his body.
The report further revealed that the victim succumbed to a series of attacks, ultimately leading to a state of shock and excessive bleeding. As the investigation unfolded, Darsha, Pavithra, and fifteen other individuals were taken into custody by the police on June 11, 2024.
