I, being a fan myself, couldn’t help but jump into the conversation sparked by Pat McAfee’s peculiar comment about me, Timothée Chalamet, and others. If you haven’t caught wind of it yet, we were all spotted together at the Knicks–Pacers Eastern Conference Finals on May 27th. Yours truly, Ben Stiller.
Before the game began, Pat McAfee made a provocative comment while addressing the celebrity guests.
What did Ben Stiller say about Pat McAfee?
During Tuesday’s Knicks game, Ben Stiller found Pat McAfee’s comment “strange.” Before the match started, McAfee addressed the crowd: “Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, and Timothée Chalamet are here. Let’s make these guys regret coming by sending them back to New York with ringing ears.
Stiller discovered a video of McAfee’s cheer on the platform X (previously known as Twitter), and he remarked, “Indeed, strange. We were glad to be present and cheer for our team. And aside from that, the Indianapolis fans were fantastic.
In his subsequent post, Stiller commented, “It’s alright. Perhaps he’s just fooling around – if it’s a genuine perspective, it seems somewhat outdated or stereotypical. It’s as though we, being urban celebrities, shouldn’t be present in the countryside. However, everyone we encountered was amazing and incredibly hip.
In addition, spectators joined the conversation about the cheers that turned into boos directed towards Knicks supporters like Stiller and Chalamet. One online user commented, “They were warm-hearted jeers, I assure you.” Stiller quipped, “I must admit, I felt it.” Eventually, Stiller eased any concerns among Indy fans by expressing that he holds no ill will towards them. The Emmy-winning artist added, “I have absolutely no bitterness towards the Indy fans, you all had a fantastic win!
In the meantime, it’s been announced that actor Ben Stiller will be back for Adam Sandler’s upcoming movie, Happy Gilmore 2. At 59 years old, he will once again play the character Hal L. Joining Stiller in this film are Adam Sandler, Christopher McDonald, Julie Bowen, and Dennis Dugan. The second installment is scheduled to debut on Netflix on July 25, 2025.
New members joining the cast are Bad Bunny, Eminem, and Travis Kelce. Although we don’t know what roles they will play, Kelce himself has disclosed that he appears in multiple scenes. On The Pat McAfee Show, the star from the Kansas City Chiefs described the experience as “out of this world,” expressing it as a long-cherished dream come true.
