In a contemporary Los Angeles setting, Bel-Air offers a fresh perspective on the classic 90’s sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” by delving into a more dramatic retelling of Will’s challenging transition from the gritty streets of West Philadelphia to the exclusive estates of Bel-Air. As these contrasting realms intersect, I, as Will, grapple with the significance of second chances while maneuvering through the turmoil, feelings, and prejudices of a world vastly unlike the one I’ve ever known before.
In the Bel-Air ensemble, Jabari Banks portrays Will, Adrian Holmes takes on the role of Philip Banks, Cassandra Freeman plays Vivian Banks, Olly Sholotan is cast as Carlton Banks, Coco Jones stars as Hilary Banks, Akira Akbar is Ashley Banks, Jimmy Akingbola embodies Geoffrey, Jordan L. Jones becomes Jazz, and Simone Joy Jones assumes the character of Lisa.
Actors who made appearances in the show during its first three seasons include Tatyana Ali, Joseph Marcell, Vernee Watson-Johnson, Daphne Maxwell Reid, Bianca Belair, Bill Bellamy, Justin Cornwell, Andra Day, Melissa De Sousa, Nicholas Duvernay, Dulé Hill, Anna Maria Horsford, April Parker Jones, Melanie Liburd, and others.
The show “Bel-Air” is created by Universal Television and Westbrook Studios. Carla Banks Waddles holds the roles of showrunner, writer, and executive producer for this series. (Paraphrased)
Alongside the main producers, Morgan Cooper, Will Smith, Terence Carter, James Lassiter, Miguel Melendez, Benny Medina, Quincy Jones, and Andy and Susan Borowitz are also involved in executive production roles.
A premiere date for Bel-Air Season 4 has not yet been announced.
