Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Early Box Office Tracking Numbers Predict Strong Opening Weekend

As a seasoned gamer who has witnessed the rise and fall of countless cinematic universes, I must say, the upcoming “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is giving me a thrilling sense of nostalgia coupled with an exciting dash of anticipation. The original movie was part of my formative years, and seeing Michael Keaton reprise his iconic role in this new installment is truly heartening.

The early box office projections for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’s opening weekend are looking strong.

In September, theaters across the U.S. will showcase the return of “Beetlejuice”! Michael Keaton is set to once again embody the legendary character he originally portrayed in the 1988 Tim Burton film. Alongside him, Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara are stepping back into their roles as Lydia and Delia Deetz respectively.

How much is Beetlejuice Beetlejuice expected to make during its opening weekend?

According to the deadline, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is projected to generate approximately $65-$75 million in its first weekend at the box office.

Compared to the original Beetlejuice, it earned approximately $8 million during its debut weekend and eventually brought in about $74 million in North America. On a production budget of just $15 million, it ranked as the tenth highest-grossing film of 1988.

In a surprising turn of events following a family tragedy, the Deetz family, spanning three generations, return to their residence in Winter River. However, they find that the house is still haunted by Beetlejuice. The life of Lydia takes an unexpected twist when her defiant teenager, Astrid, stumbles upon a model of the town hidden in the attic and accidentally opens a gateway to the Afterlife. With trouble brewing in both worlds, it won’t be long before someone unwittingly summons Beetlejuice again, unleashing his unique brand of chaos and mischief.

In addition to Keaton, Ryder, and O’Hara, this film also features actors like Jenna Ortega, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe, Burn Gorman, Arthur Conti, among others.

In a new turn of events, Tim Burton takes the director’s chair for Beetlejuice 2, with the script penned by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who drew inspiration from a story conceived by Gough, Millar, and Seth Grahame-Smith. Marc Toberoff, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Tommy Harper, and Burton himself act as producers. Sara Desmond, Katterli Frauenfelder, Gough, Millar, Brad Pitt, Larry Wilson, Laurence Senelick, Pete Chiappetta, Andrew Lary, Anthony Tittanegro, Grahame-Smith, and David Katzenberg are serving in executive producer roles for the project.

In the United States, the movie “Beetlejuice” will hit the big screens and IMAX on September 6, 2024, courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures.
