As a longtime fan of both WWE and Star Trek, I can’t help but feel an electrifying sense of excitement as Becky Lynch, the fearless and charismatic WWE superstar, embarks on her latest cosmic journey with Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. Having conquered the world of sports entertainment and now venturing into the final frontier, it’s safe to say that Becky Lynch is truly living up to her moniker as The Man.
Wrestling sensation Becky Lynch is now part of the cast for “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy”. After a hiatus of over half a year from WWE shows, she shared her exciting new project on her social media platform (previously known as Twitter).
The latest Star Trek series on Paramount+ follows a group of young cadets in their growth journey. As yet undisclosed, the role that Sarah Lynch will play has been announced. She joins Sandro Rosta, Kerrice Brooks, Bella Shepard, George Hawkins, Karim Diané, and Zoë Steiner. Notably, Academy Award winner Holly Hunter is also part of the cast, portraying both the captain and chancellor.

Lynch shared that after being a world champion, there’s only one direction left – space! He announced his enthusiasm about becoming part of the bridge crew on Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.
She went on saying, “It’s truly been an extraordinary journey working with such an outstanding group of actors and team members. I can hardly wait until you get the chance to see it when it premieres on Paramount Plus.
She concluded the video with the iconic Vulcan salute, saying, “And hey, live long and prosper.”

Although a specific release date for Star Trek: Starfleet Academy hasn’t been determined yet, it was earlier confirmed that the show has been greenlit for a second season. Additionally, some recognized actors from Star Trek franchises are expected to rejoin their characters, such as Tig Notaro (from Star Trek: Discovery), Robert Picardo (from Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Prodigy), Oded Fehr (Star Trek: Discovery), and Mary Wiseman (also from Star Trek: Discovery). Paul Giamatti and Gina Yashere will also feature as recurring guest stars in the series.
According to the official summary, the upcoming series is set to chronicle the journey of a fresh group of Starfleet trainees as they grow and mature in one of the galaxy’s most revered locations. This series will present audiences with these young cadets, uniting them around a shared vision of optimism and hope. Their instructors, watchful and strict, will guide them through their training as they explore budding friendships, intense rivalries, first romances, and an ominous adversary that poses a threat not just to the Academy but also to the Federation at large.
