BEAMS JAPAN to Bring “All Things Japan” Stateside For LA Pop-Up

Summary

  • BEAMS JAPAN will set up shop in Los Angeles from July 30 to August 26, offering an assortment of authentic crafts and contemporary design objects.

In continuation with a sequence of pop-ups for their primary line and BEAMS Plus, the Japanese brand BEAMS is pushing ahead in the US market. This versatile label is introducing its cultural project, BEAMS JAPAN, to Los Angeles. It will feature an assortment of carefully chosen traditional artifacts and modern mementos from Japan.

In this occasion, BEAMS JAPAN will exhibit the charm of Japan, encompassing its people, goods, and customs that have shaped Japan’s contemporary cultural essence. Ranging from traditional crafts in rural areas to urban trends and cutting-edge design, their offerings fuel the burgeoning appreciation for Japanese culture globally.

The collection will feature items from Aomori Hiba Cul de Sac-JAPON, Tendo Mokko furniture designed by Sori Yanagi, artwork by Tadanori Yokoo, and photography by Daido Moriyama.

In 2019, BEAMS JAPAN paid its initial visit to the United States, specifically at Fred Segal Sunset in Los Angeles. Mimicking the ambiance of BEAMS JAPAN Shinjuku, this pop-up provided an enveloping experience, featuring 101 lanterns adorning the exterior. Since that time, the brand has expanded its international footprint, launching the BEAMS America online store in 2025.
